Instructions for Speakers

  • All presentations are lecture format. There are no posters.
  • Each presenter will have 20 minutes to present their talk.
  • Talks may use a provided overhead projector or LCD Projector (Beamer).

Technical Program

Highlights of the program include the four plenary speakers and the Shannon Award Lecture. The plenary speakers will be:

The Shannon Award winner this year is Rudolf Ahlswede (University of Bielefeld). Professor Ahlswede will give the Shannon Lecture on Thursday morning.

The technical program on each day except Wednesday will be structured as follows:

8:30 – 9:30 a.m.Plenary lecture
9:40 – 11:00 a.m.Parallel technical sessions
11:00 – 11:20 a.m.Coffee break
11:20 a.m. – 12:40 p.m.Parallel technical sessions
12:40 p.m. – 2:10 p.m.Lunch on your own (except Tuesday awards luncheon)
2:10 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.Parallel technical sessions
3:30 p.m. – 3:50 p.m.Coffee break
3:50 p.m. – 5:10 p.m.Parallel technical sessions

Note that on Wednesday, there are no sessions after lunch. Optional tours to wineries, to see the city, and to tour nearby lakes are available Wednesday afternoon.
